Mid to Senior Data Engineer

Tasks you'll do
- Design, develop and optimize efficient data pipelines to streamline processing and integration across on-premise and cloud environments
- Enhance data platforms and take ownership of optimizing performance and scalability within a data platform
- Build and maintain data models optimised for analytical performance
- Implement data quality frameworks for validation, testing, and monitoring
- Establish best practices for data governance, ensuring data integrity and security
- Collaborate closely with other data teams to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
Required skills
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with experience in data warehousing and cloud migration projects
- Experience with Snowflake or a comparable platform as Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in English, German is a plus
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning
- Experience building dashboards in Superset, Power BI and/or Tableau
- Experience with financial data, SAP ERP systems, or the banking sector
